Vancouver-based Myriad Uranium Corp. has completed its acquisition of Rush Rare Metals Corp., bringing Rush's assets under Myriad's ownership through a statutory plan of arrangement.

The transaction follows earlier announcements made by the companies in February and July and represents another consolidation move within Canada's uranium and critical-minerals sector.

The deal comes as uranium remains a closely watched commodity because of renewed global interest in nuclear power, energy security and low-carbon electricity.

For Myriad, the acquisition provides an opportunity to expand its exploration portfolio while strengthening its position in Canada's resource investment market.

The completion also reflects the continued activity among Canadian-listed mining companies seeking to consolidate assets and attract capital during a period of heightened interest in critical minerals.

Canada's mining sector remains an important source of international investment, with uranium, copper, lithium and other strategic minerals receiving increased attention from governments and investors.

The Myriad-Rush transaction could therefore attract further interest from investors watching Canada's growing role in the global nuclear-fuel and critical-minerals supply chain.
