Canadian private equity firm Novacap has announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption across the companies in its investment portfolio, highlighting the growing role of AI in business operations.

Announced on October 15, the partnership will give Novacap’s portfolio companies access to Claude Enterprise and additional resources to support AI implementation. The initiative is designed to help businesses integrate AI into everyday workflows, improve operational efficiency and identify new opportunities for growth.

Novacap said it has developed an AI implementation framework over the past three years to help companies identify practical use cases, set priorities and build actionable adoption plans. The partnership will expand the tools and support available to management teams across its portfolio.

The investment firm also reported that more than 95% of its employees use AI weekly, with an average productivity gain of 27%, according to the company. These figures reflect Novacap’s own reported experience and are not a guarantee of similar results for other businesses.

The partnership reflects a wider shift in Canadian business strategy, as investors increasingly look to AI to streamline repetitive tasks, improve customer experiences and strengthen competitiveness. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed in the announcement.

For Canadian businesses, the development offers another example of how private equity firms are making AI adoption part of their operational growth strategies. The actual impact will depend on how individual companies implement the technology and measure its results.
