Canadian artificial intelligence company Cohere has announced plans to acquire Aisle, a cybersecurity startup that uses AI to identify software vulnerabilities, in a move aimed at expanding its enterprise security capabilities.

Reuters reported the proposed acquisition on October 15, 2026. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Aisle was founded in 2025 and has developed technology designed to detect weaknesses in software systems before they can be exploited.

The company’s work includes identifying software bugs, including vulnerabilities in widely used open-source security software. Its expertise could help Cohere expand its portfolio of AI-powered tools for businesses and government organizations.

Aisle founder Ondřej Vlček is expected to lead Cohere’s new cybersecurity division, while Aisle chief operating officer Jaya Baloo is set to become Cohere’s chief information security officer, according to the report.

The move comes as companies increasingly look for ways to use AI to strengthen cyber defences while managing the risks created by more sophisticated digital threats. Cohere has focused on AI systems for enterprise customers, including organizations that require greater control over sensitive data.
