FORT SMITH, N.W.T. — A shooting in Fort Smith has left three people injured, with RCMP confirming that a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police responded to reports of a shooting outside a business in the town’s west end at around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to RCMP. An armed man was reported to have fled the area, prompting authorities to issue a shelter-in-place order for residents.

The three injured people were taken for medical treatment. Police have not publicly released further details about their conditions.
