Canada is putting some of its biggest emerging technology projects in front of global investors as Ottawa seeks to attract more international capital into the country’s technology sector.
Ahead of the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto, a portfolio of Canadian projects is being presented to investors across areas including quantum computing, artificial intelligence data centres and carbon capture.
The technology-focused projects are part of a broader effort to demonstrate Canada's potential in advanced computing and next-generation infrastructure.
The initiative comes as Canada works to expand domestic AI capacity and strengthen its position in the global technology race. Ottawa's national AI strategy also emphasizes increasing AI adoption and building Canadian capacity.
Quantum technology and AI infrastructure are emerging as key areas for Canadian investment, particularly as demand for computing power continues to grow worldwide.
The investor push could bring new financing to Canadian technology companies and major infrastructure projects while helping Canada compete for a larger share of the global AI and advanced-computing economy.
